Kriza Trends

Founded in Milan in 1954 by Mariuccia Mandelli, Krizia (recorded here as 'Kriza Trends') grew from a small womenswear venture into one of the most inventive Italian houses of its era.

Mandelli unveiled her acclaimed black-and-white collection at Florence's Palazzo Pitti in 1964, winning the Critica della Moda award and announcing a fearless new voice in Italian fashion.

Nicknamed 'Crazy Krizia' for her boundless invention, she worked with daring materials, eel skin, cork, rubber, and pioneered early hot pants, always chasing the surprising and the new.

Each year she knitted a different animal into her collections, a beloved signature that made Krizia's playful, sculptural knitwear instantly recognisable across the world.

Krizia endures as a symbol of Milanese creativity and wit, a house built on the belief that fashion should be an ever-changing adventure in colour, texture and form.
